Any ideas on where to have a kids birthday party besides
a skating rink
pizza hut
mcdonalds
chucky cheese?
Also, what is there to do at a YMCA?|||well in almost every town there is a MY GYM where kids can go and just be free and have a great time. Or you have Chuckie Cheese, a classic. Maybe a movie theater|||At the YMCA there is a basketball court and swimming pool if the kids are old enough for those. There also may be a kids play room, some do and some dont.
It kinda depends on how old the kids are, some towns/cities have year round carnival type places with some kiddee rides, someones house where they can rent movies or have fun party games.
Rent an outside blow up jumper.|||home! lol.|||You didn't mention for what age kids and that makes a huge difference. Also the area you live in is important too. We don't live anywhere near a large city so we don't have any kids gyms or stuff like that. Unfortunately around here it's the same old bowling alley parties and people are big on renting hotel rooms and having swimming parties.
You didn't say if there was a reason you didn't want to have it at home. If it's for lack of ideas or because it would be too difficult to plan it's really not. There are tons of sites online with ideas. You'd be suprised how much fun kids have at parties at home instead of the same old chuck e cheese. And if you need an easy way to start go with a theme of any kind. It doesn't have to be a character either, really the sky is the limit. Once you have a theme things can fall into place easily.
If you really don't want to have the party at home though I would suggest a museum for an interesting change of venue. Even where we live in boring middle of nowhere Iowa there's still a decent art museum and they do kids parties. The kids get to tour the museum and also do art activities as well.|||you can have it at a trampoline place like airbourne trampoline, or bowling, or the movie theatres, but it depends how old the kid is. for a little kid in grade 1-3, maybe a play place with a playground and everything, like bounce and play. but if it is a kid from grade 6-8, then maybe the ,movie theatres, trampolining, or bowling. if they're in grade 4-5 then he/she can go trampolining, or bowling or any of the things that you named.|||A bowling ally is a great place. There is bowling and usually a little arcade.
The YMCA is also a awsome place. There are indoor playgrounds swimming pools arobic rooms play mats. It sounds fun. I would take my kids there for a party!
