I really need some party ideas as for themes go she doesnt watch tv so theres not really a certain characters, my husband wanted to do it in chucky cheese but im not sure if thats a good idea or if I might want to do it in a park any ideas would be helpful.. she turns one on march 1st im trying to get ideas now because im not the best at planning lol :)|||She won't remember but you will. First birthdays are a milestone to celebrate but it is an adult celebration not a child one. Just invite all the important adults and of course any children they have and do it somewhere appropriate to the people ie if they all have young children then chucky cheese is a good choice but if mostly adults it won't be. You don't need a theme as it's not really aimed at children. Just remember you are creating memories for you to share and tell her about later so it's more important to invite auntie Susan who she will still know in 15 years time than little rosie from daycare who she's never seen since.|||Depending where you live ot might be too cold on march for the park
. Have it at your house or a family members that has plenty of room. Do either the pink cupcake or #1 theme or at dollar tree you can just buy colored themes. My daughters was purple butterflies. My youngest daughter who will be one this week will have a minnie mouse theme|||I am doing an afternoon tea party. Just two hours at home with little finger food buffet. And tea an cake.
It's always nice to have an excuse to get people together. But I wouldn't worry about themes, as she won't remember.
A nice cake to take pictures of her with, an eating.
Some banners an party hats an bags for the older kids.
Mines In January. An here in the uk it's freezing. So going to be a bit crampt in my tiny home.
Was going to go to a play place.... But keeping cost down.
Enjoy your party :) but it will be more fun if it's not stressful ;)|||just go too somewhere like mickey d's.&have a group of people.bring the gifts there, and just have fun.
answer mine?|||i hate when people say, why does it matter, she wont remember! the way i see it, its a big milestone...and it should be shared with all that cares about your child. sure she wont remember, but mama will! we didnt have a theme for my son...didnt spend alo of money either...cause we was on a very tight budget. what we did, we bought hot dogs and drinks and cups and plates and cake...that wasnt costly at all. and ice cream of course...lol. we had the party at my husbands grandmothers house. we did buy balloons, and a banner and a table cloth. my husbands grandmother got him a pool (not a big one but not a little one_ and we filled it up there and let the kids play in it...it was really fun...and we have a ton of memories. we maybe spent 100 dollars, if even that.|||In MY opinion, you're either afraid of what people will think .... if you don't throw a party; ... OR you're out to get a LOT of gifts! Personally, I'd invite ONLY close family and friends!!! She won't remember it!!!! ..... so why put yourself to all the hassle and expense? MAYBE at 2 years old? ....
depending on her mental acumen, disposition, charm and ..... GLEE!
Remember, no matter how expensive and "gala" the party is ...... you'll NEVER recover the cost of a theme party and all the accoutrements that go with it! ..... besides, with all that fuss and furor .. she'll probably be crying her eyes out at all the unfamiliarity! FAMILY AND CLOSE FRIENDS ARE THE VERY BEST!!! Just takes cleaning up the house ... getting a cake .... and lots 'n lots of laughs and giggles .... with people she's accustomed and easy with.
Kill the "trauma and drama"! Do you and her ... a big .... favor!
Best Regards,
JULIE
PS...... I'm 62 years old ..... and BEEN there ... MANY, MANY times!!!!! Get a clue from an old pro!
