Hi all just wondering if any one has any neat ideas to do for your baby that's turning one. I don't want to spend alot of money just wanted to do something fun but can't think of to much that she would be interested in because things like chucky cheese and that sort is to old for her. Any ideas that aren't expensive? Must be indoors due to crappy weather and cold. |||Finger painting party|||hi

pass the parcel, snacks, video, music|||i wouldnt get too worried. the simplest things entertain them. i did a little gathering at my house with family and just had cake. there arent mant kids in y family so it was small. they wont remember it anyway. your right chucky cheese is HORRIBLE!!!! i wouldnt even bring an older child there! YUCK!!! good luck|||nothing they wont remember anyway|||Get a pinata and throw a party, break it and all the candy drops out to the table or floor what ever your preference, Thats what we did and the kids really loved it with pin the tail on the donkey.|||my family has this issue all the time. I would suggest that you just get you family together and do something at the house if you have nieces, nephew, and cousins. like games and cake. and just decorate the house up really nice. Good Luck. and wish your one year old a happy birthday from me.|||We are going to make a city out of boxes. With a house, a garage, a pet shop & a police station. We will also have a billboard welcoming his guests to his town. Kids love boxes!|||My son turned one last month and we did a barbecue lunch. If she is eating solids, the chunky cheese would be fine for her, just cut them in quarters. Mini ritz crackers and slice the meat in small pieces.

You could also do hot dogs. It is recommended not to feed hot dogs to one year olds due to choking but my doctor suggested feeding them to my son as long as they are cut in small pieces.|||we had my nephews birthday at McDonald's this year and he loved it.

We ate outside the play area and when he had eaten his lunch and cake then we went into the play area and let the kids play.

What we did was thank all the people who came and we took the presents home then he opened them after his nap.

the reason we did it that way was he was so tired from playing he would not sit to open presents.|||when my daughter had her 1st birthday we just had a tea party with close friends and family. all it involves is sandwiches and other finger food and some juice that both babies and adults can drink. it's mainly for the parents and older children anyway as children at this age will neither remember nor understand whats going on
